iPad App for GE Healthcare
321Ace worked with Sage Growth Partners to create an iPad application for GE Healthcare’s sales force.
The app projects potential savings to organizations that better managing their staff, so the sales team can have more productive conversations with the C-suite about the connection between their workforce and initiatives around employee satisfaction and safety.
Sage Growth Partners came to 321Ace with the idea. We helped Sage through the process of adapting the idea for the mobile device, creating wireframes, creating designs, and coding the app.
About GE Healthcare
GE Healthcare is an $18 billion unit of General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), employing over 52,000 people worldwide and serving healthcare professionals in over 100 countries.
The Challenge
The challenge was to turn complex financial models, created in Excel, into an app that is easy to use by a salesperson in the field while having a conversation with a potential client. The application had to make it easy for a salesperson to create different scenarios and use cases rapidly and present the outcome in a manner that is easy to understand. We went through several iterations of the layouts, until we satisfied the needs of several stakeholders for this project. Also, there was a tight deadline for this app as it was promoted in advance to be featured at an upcoming conference.
The Solution
The iPad application helps sales personnel present different use cases that show the potential cost savings, customized to each client. The use cases can easily be modified by the salesperson, while talking to the prospect to demonstrate the talking points, using graphs, charts, reports, and ROI projections. The use cases can be saved for future reference and can be shared with the client by email.
