Website Redesign for Bakersfield Rugs
321Consulting redesigned the website for Bakersfield rugs.
The redesign was a complete overhaul of the old site, with a new, modern look and feel in keeping with the Bakersfield Rugs brand.
The website is strategically laid out to convince customers to visit their showroom.
The new site provides an up-to-date inventory of the rugs in the showroom.
About Bakersfield
Bakersfield Rugs is Washington DC metro area’s largest rug retailer. Bakersfield Rugs has been selling rugs at its showroom in Falls Church, Virginia, since 1989. In late 2010, they expanded their showroom to its current 18,000 square foot size, becoming the undisputed largest rug retailer in the area and one of the largest in the United States.
The Challenge
Bakersfield Rugs had an outdated website. The website did not look good. It was difficult to find information. One of the key differentiations for Bakersfield Rugs from other rug companies was they had a large inventory in stock, but the website did not showcase this inventory. One of the main drawbacks of the old site was it was not focused on the main goal of the site, which was to bring customers to their showroom.
The Solution
The project started with 321Consulting working with Bakersfield Rugs to come up with the goals for the new website. The most important goal was to convince potential customers to visit the showroom. The secondary goal was to provide an up-to-date inventory of rugs. To achieve these goals, we laid out the website to highlight that Bakersfield Rugs stands out from the other rug companies because it has the largest rug showroom in the area, and included a clear call to action to visit their showroom. We created an easy to use backend panel that can be used to update the rug inventory so that the website always has the most current inventory.
